the philosophy of pearls

like Dante and Aurora
select excellence

The pearls of the Maison di Dante and Aurora in Turin are carefully selected, assessing their colour, shades, lustre, surface appearance and pearl thickness.

Only the best pearls can be included in the Dililla jewellery collections: the creations of the Maison in Turin are made with pearls from remote places, pearls that stand out for their purity, tone and luminosity.

The most precious pearls have exotic names such as Akoya, Australia, Tahiti and Fresh Water, which become the protagonists of jewellery that conquers and enchants.

AKOYA PEARLS
FROM THE SEAS OF JAPAN TO TURIN

The pearls of the Dililla jewellery in Turin shimmer lightly and multiform like the reflections of night light on the surface of the seas and rivers where they are born and take shape.

Daughters of lunar splendour, lulled by currents and shrouded in mystery, they are a eulogy to slow time and the ancient ritual of their cultivation, to the harmony of light and colour.

Akoya pearls, a symbol of beauty and perfection, are cultivated in the seas of Japan.

Characterised by a predominantly spherical shape and a size of between 4 and 10 mm, Akoya pearls are characterised by their soft, velvety colours, ranging from white to pink.

The pearl glows by creating iridescent flashes on the surface, with that typical Oriental hue spreading through the whiteness of the pearl itself.

AUSTRALIA AND TAHITI
THE MOST PRECIOUS PEARLS

In Turin, the most famous pearls are used by Dililla to create jewellery with retro charm but contemporary design.

<p ">In the South Seas, between the tropics of Cancer and Capricorn, some of the most renowned pearls originate, unique wonders of splendour: Australia and Tahiti.

Spherical and sometimes baroque, Australia pearls come in colours ranging from white to silver to intense golden hues. Thanks to their considerable size, ranging from 10 to 25 mm, they have a thick nacre, which gives body and volume to the shades.

Tahitian pearls, also spherical and baroque, are the only natural pearls whose colouring ranges from grey to black, with subtle and intense shades of green, blue, red, purple, yellow and gold. Their size, ranging from 9 to 17 mm, allows the pearl to grow, trap light inside and then return it to the surface in a unique and incomparable way.

FRESH WATER
THE FRESHWATER PEARL IN TURIN

Natural, rainbow-coloured pearls adorn the creations of the Dililla jewellery store in Turin. Originating from the fresh waters of the rivers of Asia, Fresh Water pearls have always fascinated with their colours. With shades ranging from cream to pink, peach and violet, these 2 to 15 mm pearls know how to capture light and transform it into a magical kaleidoscope. Defined by the ancients as ‘gifts from heaven’, our wish is that only the most beautiful pearls find their ideal place in the taste, magic and sinuous lines of our creations to bring light and charm to the wearer.
